Celebrate the 4th of July or any holiday with this automatic flag waver! Save your strength for the fireworks later.

Gather your Cubes, building bricks, and other materials. Stack the Battery Cube on top of the Motor Cube.

Place the 24-tooth gear onto the Motor Cube.

With the Cube stack upside down, put the 4-stud beam on the far bottom left of the Motor Cube.

  Flip the stack back over.

Attach the 16-stud beam and 4-stud beams to the Battery Cube.

Stick the connector onto the other 16-stud beam.

Put the 16-stud beam onto the 24-tooth gear, so that the end is pointing upwards, away from the Battery Cube.

Place the rubber bands on either side of the 16-stud beam.

(Skip steps 9 and 10 if using a ready-made flag!)

Make your flag: Using the hot glue gun, attach the wooden skewer to the flag.

Roll the skewer around the flag.

Using the rubber bands, attach the skewer to the brick.

Cut out a circular base for your Automatic Flag Waver from cardboard.

Stick the bottom of the machine to the base with glue or tape and let it dry.

Turn your Battery Cube on and watch your flag fly!
