Overview

Use a marker as a tail when you build this scorpion-like creature with wheels for legs.

Steps

Gather your Cubes, LEGO®s, and other materials.

Attach the 4 x 8 plate in the middle of the two 16-stud bricks.

Attach the Motor Cube to the 4 x 8 plate so the axle is facing to one side.

Attach the 8-tooth gear to the Motor Cube.

Slide an axle through the second hole of the 16-stud bricks.

Push the 24-tooth gear onto the axle so it clicks with the 8-tooth gear.

Attach tires to each end of the axle.

Attach the Battery Cube two lines back from the Motor Cube on the 4 x 8 plate.

Attach one of the long wires from the left post of the Battery Cube to the right post of the Motor Cube.

Attach the second long wire from the right post of the Battery Cube to the left post of the Motor Cube.

Attach one of the 4-stud bricks to the top of the Motor Cube on the front.

Slide the axle through the other 4-stud brick, and insert the bushing on one end.

Slide the axle from the unattached 4-stud brick through the front attached 4-stud brick, and secure the unattached 4-stud brick to the other side of the Motor Cube.

Rubber band the Light Cube around the front of the Motor Cube, so the LED is facing forwards.

Attach one of the medium wires from the left post of the Light Cube to the left post of the Battery Cube.

Attach the remaining medium wire to the right post of the Light Cube to the right post of the Battery Cube.

Attach the two pin connectors into the ends of the 12-stud beam, and attach the marker holder on one end.

Attach the marker to the marker holder so the marker is facing away from the 12-stud beam.

Attach the other side of the 12-stud beam (the open pin) into the right side of the 16-stud beam on the back of the vehicle, moving the marker so it leans down, ready to strike!
